need help finding out if this a car is turbo or not?

OK,

so i found this car for sale sitting in a parking lot, and i dont want to call the person until i know what the car is for sure.

This is what i know: 93 Laser RS with 167K (kilometers),all major work done in the last 5k,
and the price:$3800 OBO (canadian, so about $2700). and all i could see was that its FWD, from looking under the car. But i couldnt see if it was turbo or not.

And i have the VIN:4p3df44e2pe010005

So i was wondering if the car is turbo or not so i can be pepared for when i call the guy, so i can try and talk him down, and research what i should be looking for when i can get under the hood!!! So if anyone could decode the VIN for me or post me a link where i could decode it myself.

I dont know anything about lasers, so Im not sure if that engine is turbo or n/a. Maybe someone else can help you out there. But thats the carfax info from the VIN.

RS is non turbo, if u want to make sure - but im 99.99999% sure its a non turbo.

Laser Turbos were simply called "RS Turbo" On the car, so that RS may be misleading.

according to the VIN decoder on the 1000 already answered questions site, the VIN means:

4 - USA
p - Plymouth
3 - Passenger Car
d - Unlisted (seatbelt type)
f - Unlisted (driveline)
4 - High price code
4 - 3 door hatchback
e - Unlisted (engine type)
2 - Check Digit
P - Unlisted (Model Year)
e - Diamond Star Motors
010005 - Serial Number

, i guess that doesnt really tell you anything. only way to really know is to pop the hood and look for the turbo.

10th digit = model year and P = 1993

8th would be engine type and a turbo model is F so im guessing E is non turbo

11th digit would be the plant DSM

I know its easy with 97+ eclipse, but can't you just look for the SMIC???
