Need for speed: pro street and Juiced 2: HIN, what do you think of the game?

Have not played juiced 2 i liked the first but i hear the 2nd is way better, so i bought NFS instead.

Just started playing pro street and i think its ok dont like having to go through a bunch of races to drag or drift, or to do the speed challenge. Ithink the tire smoke is very sweet looking.

I dont like the game cause it seems to played out, there needs to be more cars, not detailed engine mods etc. Lack of some sort of auto tune in the garage to help make tuning easier.

What do you think about these games?

I just started playing Pro Street yesterday. I like it as a racing game. It's not supposed to be 100% realistic, just really fun. I don't like the fact that the car can be completely destroyed now. That was what the Need For Speed series is known for, taking a car at 200mph and smashing it into a wall and driving off with your front bumper. I like the fact that the cars fall apart, but not the damage and stuff.

I downloaded the demo of Juiced 2 unto my 360. The whole customizing the cars part and that was great, but the whole racing part sucked IMO.

They have a lot of dumb mistakes in Pro Street that I know a lot of my friends don't like. But for $30 on the ps2, I don't complain. It's my favorite of the series by far. I love the drag racing and how they have the racing at tracks.

Downsides for ps2: less cars and no visible damage, load times on all the decals etc take for-EVER. Downside to the game as a whole: You can't turn the "Totaled" scenes off, every race has an opening that seems to take forever, drifting was kind of hard to get the hang of for me when in the previous games it was my favorite type of racing, your name is Ryan Carter. Uh... that's all I can think of right now. But overall I love it.

You're telling me you can't stand the announcer saying the dudes name? Ryan Cooper this Ryan cooper that...SHUTUP!

But if you turn that off and the music which I don't like, it's fun. I use a steering wheel and pedals with force feedback. I LOVE the drifting in this game with the wheel. So much fun.

Overall, I think it's alright. Not the great game they were making it up to be, but it's fun.

The cornering physics suck balls in this game. The cars handle like heavy boats and refuse to respond when you want the car to turn. And is it just me, or does the game in general just feel messy? It's an alright game though I guess. Here's a pic of my gsx in the game (the sticker on the car says gs-t, but the game says its awd). The graphics are pretty nice atleast.

NFS PS>Juiced 2

Customizing in Juiced 2 is really fun, but the gameplay sucks. NFS is more fun to play.

The best thing about NFS PS is the drag races, which are fun as hell. The drifting in the game is alright. The cars all handle the same, even when you have all stage 4 suspension mods and the car is tuned just right. I pretty much have fun with the drags though...Best time was 6.14 1/4 in a Zonda with all stage 4 mods. And 10.12 1/2 with a Supra all stage 4 mods. The Eclipse in the game is pretty useless, even after it's all decked out. I was disappointed with the handling and that's pretty much my only major grievance. The speed challenges are fun, they reminded me of the sprint races in all the others, but totaling your car at 250mph nearing the end of the race and having to start all over again is a pain. I hated wasting money on repairing my car after they had been totaled, when I could put that money in the game elsewhere...That killed a lot of the fun factor in career mode. It sucks when you don't have any markers left and you have to spend more than what you won to fix the car. Grip races are cool, but you have to have your handbrake skills down to a fine science to succeed, especially during lap attacks, where all the other driver's drive perfect. This is not bumper cars, like the other's were and honestly, bumping into cars and pushing them out of the way with no negative consequences made the other's a lot better in that department. Driving purely on tracks is a drag, part of the fun in previous entries was evading the cops. Autosculpt does nothing for aerodynamics or handling. The tuning could be a little more complex, but it's effective, even with it's simplicity. They could of added more cars. I would of liked to have seen 1g DSMs, More Exotics, Beaters, Sleepers, etc. Allowing you to swap engines would of been nice also. I liked the game, it was fun, but it's more of a rental than anything else. Later on in the game, racing feels more like a chore, especially considering parts cost more than the car and wrecking is no fun (although cool to watch)...It can get tedious, but at least you can re-race completed race days for the same amount of money you won before. Rent it, get your five days of fun out of it, because that's what it has to offer.

I think NFS PS is a horrible game EA needs to stop the bs and make underground 3 since 2 was the best. I like the drag racing but everything else needs work. WTF no awd drift they should allow u to buy or give you adjustable differential when you select drift mode so you can put all the power to the rear.

need for speed is ok the drag racing is my fav and grip i think the drifting is the only part that isn't realistic at all. Juiced was the worst game i ever played...

I played it the last few days, graphics are good, Ryan Cooper is getting way old, but the thing that bothered me the most is the eclipse. When you use it to drag race and you do the burnout, it burns out RWD. What are those game designers smoking??? Nice looking 2g Eclipse right.... labeled as a GS-T,.... description says it AWD,.... and does a RWD burnout ..... shame on them. A little research wouldn't hurt....

I second that. I ended up buying underground 2 again just because I like the game play so much. :thumb:

NFS underground does any one have any cheat codes for the game?
I was almost finished with the game, but i let my sister play it and she erased the saved game twice.
Now i have to start over.

Ive gotten my eclipse to run a 9.8 with only stage 3 mods and a stage 1 nitrous and Im sure theres more in it. Just got the get the gearing right.

I like the game. Its fun. I also like how you have to drive right and not smash people out of the way.

Setting up your own race day online and playing with friends over live sounds cool too, though Ive yet to do it.

NFS:pro Street is the worst racing game i have ever played, even worse than the 10$ Ford Racing or Ford Mustang games for the Xbox (they were stocking stuffers, and at the time IMO were the worst racing games ever) but NFS:pS takes the cake. wtf is with the cars feeling like Tony Hawk trying to grind a rail, wobbling side to side when you are just going straight?

i couldnt play the game. honestly, i gave up even trying after the first race with the crap VW's. everytime i came out of a corner the weird oscillation effect would just kill it. my instinct is when a car starts to veer, you correct it by steering in the opposite way until you get it going straight. well in NFS:pS the controls are either so laggy or the physics so crap that if you do that the car overcorrects, making you steer in the opposite direction to try to correct the overcorrection, and this kept happing until ultimately the car lost control and spun out or hit a freaking pole or whatnot. i dont understand how they went from the other NFS:U/MW/C games to Pro Street. its like all the good game designers left and we were left with programmers fresh out of high school that totally know nothing about physics, even with a game that was so awesome without having to rely on physics for all the other versions of it.

tthe gameplay "style" is just retarded. Lack of free roam = ghey. NFS will now suck because EA made the decision to stop with the street-racing stuff for them and go back to track-only racing. ####ing ghey, if i want to do that, ill play a REAL track-only game, like Forza or Gran Turismo. used to be if i want to race through city streets at 150mph i played NFS:U/MW/Carbon games. If EA doesnt get their shit together and release basically Underground3/Most Wanted2, the NFS series is done. jesus, the style they try to portray just makes me want to punch infants, like honestly, ive never been to a racing event so outlandish with DJ's and retards talking all jive and whatnot, "Yeah boi, this sucka in his mad tyte JDM Spoon Civic ran a crazy fast time of 15.3 in the quarter dawg!" honestly EA. honestly.

Burnout:paradise is awesome, and it has FREE ROAM! strangely EA believes streetracing is bad and wont let NFS games have free roam, where the object is not to crash but to win (crash=bad) but lets Burnout get away with free roam where the object of the game is to CRASH! doesnt make sense but i guess thats why i dont run EA.......however this version of Burnout is very sweet. i played on a PS3 and was amazed on the framerates and graphical quality it was able to pump out! and im a big PC guy, it was making me think "man, these ####ers are only 400$ now, i spent 400$ on a single video card and it still cant do this!" (however i dont have a HDTV so a 400$ PS3 is useless to me until i spend 1000$+ on a HDTV, which is actually what i spent on my current gaming rig!). the crash camera is just stunning. however i did not like the announcer in Paradise, nor the soundtrack. had they brought back the guy from Burnout3:Takedown and that soundtrack i would have a PS3 (just find a way to play through my 24" Dell!)

Havent played Juiced2 though.

You need to play through the first race day before you judge the game. I would agree with you 100% on the physics and sloppy handling if I stopped at the golf races. Those things handled like complete ass and were all over the place! Frustrated the shit out of me and I almost stopped playing the game right then and there. But once you complete that race day you can use the 240sx and upgrade it or buy a new car. Night and day difference with another car.

As far as the free roaming in the other NFS series. I dont see what the big deal is about that stuff. There was no point to it if you ask me. I didnt even use it. I just jumped to everything except the races where you had to find people on the map. With the main races you were on an enclosed track as well, just with a different background then prostreet has.

I like how it encourages you not to play bumper cars as well. I hate watching people play a racing game and ram the shit out of all the other cars. Thats just not how shits done. Theres games like burnout for that.

I do think the underground series and carbon were more fun. There was way more sense of speed and the physics did feel better, although more arcadish. But I like prostreet as well. Its just different. It definetly feels like a different team of people worked on this game.

if i wanted to play a game thats realistic ill just play Forza/Gran Turismo. i WANT to ram cars off the road, i want to bump people around, its a game. i want to know that if i brush up against a wall i can still recover, not get totaled. this is the NFS i like (and the majority of people who like the NFS series from the start have come to agree with), not some wannabe ricers at racetracks with ghey DJ's spouting ghetto nonsense ramblings.

i hope they fire this team.

What the hey now, I hate to watch people that bump into people and so forth. I'm there to race...clean...not dirty! IDK why people do that stuff. It's rediculous, but thats my opinion, you dont have to agree..
