That is the 10inch kit. So far I am really enjoying it! So far I am getting away with running 20psi on pump gas with no knock. We've had one high 80 degree day here and so far no problems with overheating. I was also looking at the 7inch core but I figured I would do it right the first time. The only difference in installation of the two cores is that the the 10inch core you will have to trim the bottom part of your bumper support.
Make sure you give yourself some time to get this done, although it's not hard to do measuring-cutting, routing the piping, bending the power steering line, drilling out broken bolts, checking for leaks, rtv your bov and j pipe (if applicable) it can be time consuming. Especially if you snap bolts! I would say because I took my time this installation took about a total of 6 hours. I started around 6pm and was done around midnight.

6 HRS...wow. The 7" kit took me 3, which was because i was rushing to go somewhere after. I took an addtional 2 hrs the following day to straighten things up and tighten everything again. NO CUTTING OF THE BUMPER SUPPORT REQUIRED WITH THE 7" KIT. You MIGHT only have to cut certain areas of your bumper and splash gaurd like i did, very minor. just make sure to follow the instructions and push that thing as far back as possible when installing it. I dont have any overheating issues, however temps in NY are between 60-70 degrees and I only had it on for 3 days now. If you're worried about overheating, go with their hybrid kit, I opted for the bar and plate for more flow.

I went with the 7' kit because i think it will provide all the cooling i need for my goals.

Sorry UNDISPUTEDDSM......no digi.

I ordered mine from Extreme turbo systems......i dont remember if they are the same as Extreme intercoolers.

The say it flows 650CFM and a 50trim can flow 715CFM but they also say it will handle a 50 trim under 24 psi. It's a close call for a 50 trim. Mark

Just a lil fyi, they have two 7" kits. One flows 650cfm and the other flows 750 cfm. The full bar&plate is the more flowing unit. So I think it should handle a 50trim fine. I just ordered my 7" bar&plate kit on monday. Total w/ shipping was $820($45 for shipping)

thats a pretty good FYI. think JiveMasterT found his intercooler... :thumb:

Let us know how all these installs go, its really useful in deciding what and how to mod my car. These cores/kits are nice, but cost a left testicle WTF

Freakin crap, this tips the scales. Finally decided on this core. :rocks: I was hoping to find one just like it that flowed a bit more, never knew they had a bar and plate 7" kit option.

PLEASE post a review along with pics of the install when you get it. Itd GREATLY appreciated as quite a few people ask about this particular kit but nothing ever surfaces in the form of a formal review.

Thanks for the info again :thumb: .

their prices are pretty good compared to a lot of kits that are out there. as soon as i get the funds, one of these are going on my car...

LOL! JohnnyRacecar LOL! I could go for the price, then struggle to make the pipes, and buy couplers. Im sure somebody has demensions of custom FMIC pipes. Cut, fit, have bead put on, assemble, and test.

onegee, i highly recommend calling the supplier if you got the hybrid core and ask for the 7" bar and plate. It comes in the same demension so you wont need longer/shorter couplers or anything.

When i ordered mine i requested the bar and plate but they send me the hybrid by mistake. It (hybrid) looked a bit too restrictive...IMO. So they sent me the bar and plate in exchange for the hybrid core.

BTW...absolutely no overheating issues. (knock on wood).

i was looking at these kits and have a hard time deciding. with the v-trim rated at a little over 700 cfm (from bullseye powers website) would you go with the 7" bar and plate core or the 10.5" hybrid core?

hey KAOTIC95gst, Im going with the same setup, I just oredered my vtrim yesterday and I dont think there should be a problem. If you are still concerned, call your IC supplier ( in my case JR) and have a talk with them. A member here on tuners, nazthug, pulled off 298hp from the hybrid kit with his TO4B.

here is the link....http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167326&highlight=TO4B

read post #6

BTW, if you think you are going to get to the limits of that to4b, then maybe the 10" kit is for you.

i got the 7" hybrid core. installed it and works great.
i have a 97 eagle talon. the IC is too wide, and fog lights had to be taken off. and for the talon fascia, i cut quite a bit on it because it just wouldn't fit, and i jammed the ic back till there was 3/4" off the lower rad support.
i took the ps cooler line off, that was a bi***.
i have a t28 turbo, and i'm trying to see if i'm having a bad boost leak, or i still have to tweak my mbc.

i do feel the extra mid range power though. good buy, got it off ebay, its a lil cheaper there for the 2g kit.
