This is not my 1g but a turbo manifold none the less.. i have repaired it 3 times, with the last time adding bracing from exhaust flange to turbo flange to prevent flex.

I get maybe 500miles out of the thing before it cracks and its always like this. i currently have 3 cracked now...

Builder says its heat and weight and no one would be able to make a mani that wont crack.

That has to be wrong... turbo is an s362 t4 so i know its heavy but other people run them without issue.

Hey i saw your dm but figured I'd post here,

Are the welds purged? Is the inside of the tube smoothe at each joint? It looks to me like who ever welded it didn't really know what they were doing, looks like way too low on the amps, and no pipe prep, if you wanted to send me that manifold i can re make a better one for you. Do you know how thick the material is? Also bracing is counter productive actually, it directs vibrations to the places you dont want; at the head flange welds, and the collector which will induce cracking.

It was done at a known performance shop but i think i got the rush job. i THINK its only sch10 but could be sch40. i doubt he purged it... i dont weld and even i can see the welds look like crap from what ive compared it too(i sell steel so i know a bunch of welders).

I dont know if its worth salvaging or if i should get a ramhorn that is made by a guy that jigs and makes them all day....

If i had you do something so i didnt have to reroute downpipe and intercooler pipe, what roughly would we be looking at?

Haven't been welding THAT long, but I agree that the weld looks cold...can't really tell without a better look. but I promise you if he's not getting good penetration, it will always crack.

that can come from a few things, improper filler metal, not correctly using shielding gas, or using wrong amperage settings during welding process.

I have the same issue I have a southern Florida performance mani and keeps cracking where the runners meet... pissing me off I get it welded and it cracks either below or above it

I would say that's not worth the headaches and just go with another manifold in my opinion
