Need a fellow dsmer to help me out

my car needs a timing belt, balance shaft belt, and several tensioners replaced. but since i messed up my wrist playing football with the buds, i need your help to get these things replaced. can anyone help me out? i live in federal way. and in return ill pay you or take you out to a buffet or something. i dont wanna take it to a shop and pay $10000/hour for labor. Need help now!

I suggest Englishracing.net I just emailed him and he told me 400 for installation of cams, timing belt, water pump and tune, 200 if cams can be just slid in I don't know about you but that's the best price I've ever heard in my life, It wouldn't hurt to email him and ask, I think his shops in burien I might be thinking of a different one so don't hold me to that but you could ask him that too

I dont think he is looking for some biug hot shot to come over and do it for him and tell him he needs 50 different things. To me it looks like he is trying to find a DSMER on here who has some heart and is willing to come help out in their free time. I have done it with ajax and now we are buds. he helps me and i help him. he if just looking to make a friends off of here and get some owrk done while they hang out. Hell ive gone stuff for friends because they were too messed up to do anything. j0nathanl3e if i lived where you would id come help you out but i think me driving 27 hours isnt good.

If you know how to do those things, you could invite any friend, DSMer or not, to help you out. Just tell 'em what to do.

billys90tsi - your exactly right, i could just ask anyone to come down and help but id rather get to know some dsmers around here since im pretty new to dsm.

No_Skillz - i could do what you said, but a lot of my friends barely know how to change their own oil. it would be nice to get to know some people with dsm's that can lend a helpin hand (given that ill be paying some money or fatty buffet or something)

Either way, I don't think anyone would take the time to help you install all of that for a measly $20-40 buffet. You're going to need some money!

really most of the guys in washington especiallly in your area are on POS if you offer to by beer maybe someone would help, ide do it but im down in salem.. ide still come do it for a couple hundred but thats just to cover expenses..

maybe try posting in the hangout to get a lil more exposure..

I'll help if you want. I know alot about dsm's...especially my 420a, but I do know alot about the 4g63 too, but never done work on them.....I'll certainly try and help if not come down with some buddies or something, or my mechanic does things for a dang good price and you could have him do it, but it will cost you if you have him do it. Not super cheap, but definitely right and alot cheaper than most places. Let me know or throw me a PM and if I am not working or whatever, I can probably help, but I too have no dsm right now, b/c it's in the shop......Just let me know man...I am always up to meeting new dsmers and working on cars...

actually, all my tools were stolen while they were in my car...living in federal way sucks when you have a honda...but i have basic tools (tools arent cheap)...

Well being that i work full time at a shop I know how that is right now im spending 300 bucks a week on tools... friggen rediculous when your starting to build your collection... I got a nice set of tools right now thoug I can do pretty much everything and only have to borrow very few tools so far.

yeah dude...i barely have money to keep my tsi maintained ...my parts FINALLY came in. ive waited for like 3 weeks (dont ask why). is there anyone local or close to federal way that can help me out. obviously we can work a deal
