Why dont you look at the engine code first and then let us determine the engine? It could be a few different engines but we will never know until you find the engine code. Generally, it is stamped in the front of the block behind the turbo.

It's not a Turbo, it's a N/T engine. also i bought a 1.8 parts car and someone had put in a different transmission and they had to jigger rig it and their is no 5th gear and it dont look like a DSM tranny.

It might just have a hyundai valve cover on it.

So is it a 1.8 ltr in the eclipse parts car or a 2.0ltr? I recall seeing a few 4g63 motors in hyandia, but never a Hyandia motor in a Eclipse. I think a few pictures would get you farther in this mystery.

I think there are few Hyundais out there with 4g63 N/T and none of the eclipses came with other engine than 4g63, 4g64, and 42a chrysler engine

Well, we really can't tell you what engine it is, unless you give us some more information to work off of:

-Engine size
-Engine code
-Picture of engine

However, I'll take a guess and say that it's probably the 4g63. I've never heard of Hyundai using the 4g67. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If it has Hyundai on the spark plug cover and 2000 DOHC 16v on the rocker cover it is a 2 litre 4G63 engine from a Hyundai Sonata.

If it is a 1800cc DOHC 16v engine it is from a Hyundai Lantra

Both engines are 6 bolt crank pattern.

Stating the engine number on the side of the block would probably save a lot of hassle.
