I bought a 1G without the wheel nut tool. Any ideas on what brand these nuts might be? Thanks for any help.

Usually called "tuner lugs" or "spline drive". Could be Gorillz Lugz or the budget version. The key is universal, usually $5-10 at any speed shop.

I've never been inside an O'Reilly's, but I doubt it. Go to a place that sells aftermarket parts, there has to be tons around you.

O'Reillys does sell the key but you have to buy a set of lugs with it. (Its in a package together). They sell it like that so someone can't just go in and buy the tool and steal rims.

Lea Schwab or other chain tire stores usually carry the gorilla lug spline drives for about 5 bux. Free sometimes. I've bought a few there. There are different sizes so just make sure you get the smaller one.

Those are common eBay tuner lugs in case the local stores don't have the key to remove them eBay sure does.

Man, I feel like an idiot now. I've been contacting the old owner the whole time because I thought it was some special Enkei tool or something. I just bought a DSM after a 10 year layoff so I'm not up to date on stuff. Thanks again.

i agree with canadian looks like gorilla universal lock nuts can be found everywhere even autozone has a version

The same thing happened to me when I bought my car a few months back. I couldnt figure out what the heck was going on because none of my sockets wouldnt fit in the lug well. I ended up taking a picture of one and went to my local Bell Tire. Showed them a picture and told them I needed to get some new tires but I couldnt get my wheels off. The salesman tossed me a spline drive socket for free. When I tried to pay for it, he told me "dont worry, just come see me when you are ready for tires."

I ran into the same problem with my last car before my talon and they were the 6 spline m12x1.5 gorilla locks......glad u were able to find the key so cheap....ebay can be such a savior LOL
