Tought it would be more appropriated here than in the newbie forum ROFL

Did a Full engine(Rebuilt with 8.5:1piston) swap along with an manual swap(my car was auto).

Engine swap:

Old motor out

Dropping the new engine in:

Now up to the Manual swap:

Donor car getting ready to be stripped out from its drive train and all the stuff I need

Engine bay stripped out, engine/tranny/axles/clutch lines, etc

First step , getting the manual pedal installed, pain in the ass, working on your back for 2 hours.

Finally , the pedal are installed

Time to swap the trannys, look and the size difference, and man the Auto tranny must weight like 100 pound more

New ACT pressure plate, Clutch disc installed

All in all the tranny swap took me about 20 hours to do and wasent that bad to do , will see what it runs next years, hoping [email protected]

Very Clean Car.

Too bad you went auto to manual, many people are starting to realize the potential on the Auto and are doing the exact opposite swap.


Also good luck getting 120 mph out of a 16g.
 
Should not be a problem at all getting 120mph with my FWD. My best trap speed was 116.99 on the auto tranny at 24psi. Friend of mine went 119.56 at 24psi on a manual FWD

Now with the manual and 26-27 psi/race gas, it should be douable on the EVOIII16G
