my starter wont work

I dont know why but today my starter just stopped working. Im not sure if its something with the car or my starter but it wont work! Does anybody know why this might be? I have a viper 791xv btw

Dose the car turn over? If not but the car still has power (radio and what not) than its probably your starter. They do die every now and than, hopefully it wont be to expensive.

After you try all that, try banging the starter and then seeing if the car will start. It doesn't work all the time, but it's worth a shot.

Also make sure your battery cables are clean and tight on both ends of both (battery to starter). And make sure you have the large negative going to the starter mounting bolt - not the car frame (that's the other one). Starter needs it's own negative due to the high current draw.

I would also check your fuel pump and ignition fuses. They will also keep the starter from getting power.

Take the sledge hammer to it. It will start to work sooner or later! j/j
