i say its kind of a bad idea. i sprayed like a single stage. the aluminum color scuffs to easy but the gloss colors are fine.

ive been working hard on it. i bolted in the roll bar, exhaust, and intercoooler. i still have to rebuild my motor, its at the machine shop now.

Looks completley flat. You know you could have bought enough real single stage paint and activator to spray the whole car and make it look good for less than $100.

your right. it is completely flat. i do like the flat look though. im going to throw some black rims on it. and ya i know, i would have did a single stage if i knew better. but i started it 2 years ago. im just glad to be done. i cant wait to drop a motor in it next weekend.

. i didnt do that body in gloss. i did the roof in glass black though.

I'm logged into facebook and it's not viewing for some reason. From what I could see in the other pic, car is coming along real nice.

i didnt know you had to have a facebook to see it. i have the photos on my phone, so i send them mobiley to facebook. idk how else to do it. I do have a thing to upload them from my phone onto the computer but its at home and im at school during the week.

Excuse my southerness. It should look rather "tough".

And, sure you can clear over it. But you are going to have to scuff the paint up first so the clear will bond.

well im 30 minutes from NC im a southern too. and awesome, but will clear bond too oil base paint. I think its oil based. Im going to try some clear sometime. I hope. i want to see what it looks like on a sample piece. I would hate to clear the whole car and like it better flat. i can shoot clear pretty well. i shot my brothers bmw parts.

If you clear oil based base coat /rustoleum/ you need to use oil based clear coat. If you use $20 pepboys coat or any other acetone based clear coat, it will wrinkle the base coat.

Instead of sending them to like facebook, send them to an email and then just save the image to the local HDD, or even save the image once posted to Facebook to local HDD and then you can attach the photo from local HDD.

If that makes sense to you.
