I will be updating this daily. Here is the background on my 1G 1991 Eagle Talon FWD NT.
I bought the car in October of 2008.
It was completely stock.
The day I got it, the RF axle popped out.
Replaced axle.
The next day, that axle popped out.
Took everything off the front end of the car.
Found out the crossmember (K- Frame) was bent.
Replaced crossmember.
Replaced axle.
Replaced both caliper brackets.
Car then stayed together for awhile.
Replaced ball joints, wheel bearings, rotors, and brakes.
Replaced Alt. belt.
After all that, I blew my engine. I just pulled the engine yesterday. I will be getting a new engine very soon. While the engine is out right now, i am...
Tossing out the AC system and Power Steering.
Undergoing INTENSE and OBSESSIVE cleaning to the engine bay.
Unbolting piece by piece, sanding, and painting (brackets, bolts, etc).
Also cleaning out the interior.
Eliminating as much weight as possible.
Again, I am updating this daily and am working on the talon quite a bit.

Yeah it will stay nt. I'd like to keep this nt so I will have somewhat of a reliable car. Then buy a 1G Talon turbo AWD when I get the money. Some of my plans are to do as many bolt on mods as possible. Intake, headers, exhaust, etc. I am doing alot of research on here to see which nt mods are the best and most performance visible mods. As I stated before, the car is all stock right now except for the wheels. Wheels are another one of my plans. I bought the car with 3 American racing wheels. The other was bent from the previous owner put it in a ditch. Thats probably why the crossmember was bent. So, I will be getting some new wheels after the bolt ons. Right now, I am taking everything off the car, sanding them, and painting them such as small metal mounts. I am painting the fans as well. probably black with flourescent red orange fans. I painted the axle shafts with the flourescent red orange as well and they turned out great. I am continuing this as well as reducing weight. Continued....

Sorry about that, I am using my PS3 and it only allows so much text at once. Anyway, taking out the AC system reduced ALOT of weight as well as the P/S. Right now im focused on cleaning the engine bay while the engine is out. I might try a wire tuck but i dont want to mess anything up. The electrical system is my weakness. I do want to get an aluminium radiator made for it. Theres alot of room without the AC system so I am trying to figure out something to do with the available space. Any insight or advice will be appreciated. I just want a good performing nt that is reliable.

Also I should tell you guys how my engine blew. The oil pump seized up ( oil pump sprocket will not turn at all ) which took out the T- belt. But the weird thing is, my valves are fine. They never touched the pistons. I was on the PA Turnpike going 80mph so I thought for sure the top end was going to be destroyed. But its fine.

well if you can i would do forged internals best way to make some hp like 11.1 compression or something like that. also hone and extrude the intake mani and do some oversized valves get a little more air pumping. maybe even a single port stage one nitrous kit would be bad ass. if you dont care about looks do a pvc cold air intake hold in the cold air and keeps the hot air out better then a metal or wrap a metal one in header wrap. i ran my intake into the fender to keep the heat from the engine away. 93 turbo cams are a good upgrade but if you can and you do alot of head work with tons of flow maybe try 264 cams or something a little bigger. dont forget your suspension parts either a very important part to building any car

Give me some more info on the pvc CAI. Id be a little worried with a CAI since water can easily get in there depending on where the filter ends up. Im probably going to keep the next engine stock and rebuild the blown engine. ill need a new crank and rods for it but im definatly getting some oversized valves. as well as bigger cam. how do i hone and extrude my intake manny? The blown engine's cylinder walls looked "ok" from what i could see. but i will plan on building the hell out of it after i get the new engine. i just need a car badly otherwise id build the new one.

shops ffwd extrude and hone apparently can get you 4(cms i thnk) better of air flow

AJ if your going to do the PVC use the grey. IDK how it will hold up on an NA car but on my turbo 2g it began to warp and the ends shrank everytime I tightened the clamps. I keep having boost leaks. It seemed like a good idea at the time LOL

LOL thanks rush. so its basically a CAI with header wrapping?

Any other updates on this? I really would like to see how this comes about. I have a galant gsx n/a that if i could get a few more ideas on maybe ill change my mind an keep it.

Well, I do a little here and there but after now having a daughter, things aren't as easy LOL. So I have been putting my money into my 92 Eclipse instead.

Hey there! Any updates recently. I have a 94 NA Talon. Compcam cams with cold air intake and AEM cam gears. I feel it is very peppy from stock. I lost the AC as well. Keep us posted!
