Congratulations on the time! SICK launch!

I'm also running an old 77' mitsubishi celeste with a 63T engine. Haven't got to run on the track yet since I just finished the swap about a month ago, still tuning the thing, but still have a long way to go since this is also going to be my daily driver. :)

Thumbs up for this car, will be following it's developments :)

it took me awhile to be able to post this. the colt was totaled 2 months ago. my friend was driving it to my new house and hit some sand or a dip in the road and lost control. i was driving the moving van about 50 ft. behind him so there was no doubts about him racing it. he ended up in the hospital for about a week but hes since made a full recovery. the good news is that none of the parts on the car were hurt. just the body. im taking the motor and some other stuff and dropping it in a 96 GSX i just bought. i was able to buy this from selling most of the parts off the colt. heres my advice, short wheelbase cars are dangerous. please put nothing less than an 8 point cage in the car if you plan on making any sort of power. this wreck really put some things in perspective for me. our lives are worth the extra $1500 it would take for a good cage. peace.

Oh man :( this was one of my favorite threads on here. Seems like you got a few good runs in though, and you did have a 10 second 4g63 which is quite impressive.

Sorry to hear of the Colts demise, John. I'm glad your buddy made a full recovery though. And it's good to see that you're going to still continue with a DSM platform. Is the '96 going to be a RWD build as well? Or AWD? Anyhow, Good luck with the build!

AWD. i want something with leather and cruise and A/C for awhile. i can also use this car for work as it gets better gas mileage than my truck.

Its nice to hear you are still going with a DSM platform. I missed my chance to run that colt damn. And it good to hear that josh made it out in one piece:thumb:

Sad to hear about such an amazing car! Good to hear that your friend made a full recovery. Any pictures of the colt afterwards? He was just driving along and lost control? Did he roll it? Loose control and run into something else? A full 8 pt. roll cage would have helped prevent some of your friend's injuries? How fast was he going when he lost control? Sorry for all of the questions just curious about the demise of one of the most bad ass projects I've seen in a while.

i dont have nay pics of the car guys. it hurt bad enough having to take it to the crusher.
