11.2 is all you can do with that crazy beast? I know your still working out the kinks but i'd expect low 9s out of that wouldnt you? Light car, huge power = fast as f*(K

Im going to take a guess.

You run 15's. Or your new to the car world

17lbs and 11.2 is very nice.

Uhh be careful...If you read/have read the entire thread you would know he is looking for much better times then 11.2, what he meant was exactly what he said, this car has potential for 9's and we're all just waiting to see them.

HOLY SHIT MAN. watched the vid from street fire again and damn! instant traction!

EDIT: typed that too soon, the youtube vid is the same way! I bet that is a huge rush comin out of the whole.

on a side note, i was looking at the ratings on this page. i have 1 bar, and have 122 posts or w/e. peregrin, youve got like 1200 posts and same rating as me? shows that nobody rates anything heh

sorry for the randomness

Hey, is there anyway I can get you to write up a parts list as to swaping the motor and trans into a colt. I know it'd probably take you a week to do and all but if you had a detailed list as to what needs to be bought and done and what worked for you, I think that would help people wanting to do a swap of their own, maybe not to the extent of what you did but you know what i mean. I think it'd be much easier for others, including maybe me in the future so that we dont have to pioneer it all like you did. Congrats to you man and keep up the good work. Just an idea is all.

thanks,

Zach

sorry for this late ass response. life is hectic and i hardly get a chance to come here anymore. i hardly pioneered this trail. eric plebani, dave buschur, and a guy named dave perino all did it before me and im sure theres others as well. maybe not in a car like mine but the consept is the same. only update i have is that there is no update. the car has been sitting in my garage since my last post. money is tight during the winter for me therefore i cant afford $1800 for a new converter til next year. i am putting the interior in this week so ill post some pics up of that later.

Nice. this thread always intrigued me. Most of the time, they never get finished or the original poster doesn't come back and finish the thread.

Thanks for that!

my pleasure :thumb: its ben on the back burner for awhile. i started my own business and just bought a house so life is hectic.

that vid is sick!! i love when it took off the rear end looks like it fell out of the car.

Nice job. Car looks great. :thumb:

If I ever get tired of FWD I would want to build one of these for the track. Is there some sort of service you could use to track one of these cars down? They're not exactly in the collectibles or classic car trader. ;)

Hey guys. Haven't been around for awhile and I checked back in on this thread and wanted to see if there are anymore updates. I am very interested in this build.

actually yes. the colt went 10.93 @126 friday night. 5000 ft elevation only 23 psi. :thumb:

Congratulations on the time! SICK launch!

I'm also running an old 77' mitsubishi celeste with a 63T engine. Haven't got to run on the track yet since I just finished the swap about a month ago, still tuning the thing, but still have a long way to go since this is also going to be my daily driver. :)

Thumbs up for this car, will be following it's developments :)
