how hard is it to pull the motor and drop in a rebuilt one in. also when adding more boost what shuld i add internally

This is one of those questions that, if you have to ask you needn't try without someone who knows wtf is going helping.

On the bright side, except for a few case all the electrical connectors can only plug into one spot.'


Basic Process for removing the engine.

Unbolt throttle cable and unhook it, set aside, basically I use my windscreen wipers to hold it down.

Unplug every single freaking electrical connector including the starter and knock sensor which are the behind of the block.

Drain Oil, Tranny, and Radiator.

Drop The downpipe if AWD

Drop the T-Case if AWD.

Remove the drivers side CV AXEL

Remove the ac pump, do not disconnect Tie it out of the way

Remove Power Steering Pump, do not disconnect, tie it out of the way

Remove Intake pipe, Remove UICP and LICP

Support Engine Oil Pan Sump with a block of 2x4 and your floor jack.

Remove the Drivers Side Upper Engine Mount

Remove the front and rear engine mounts

Remove Transmission Mounts.

Making Sure that all electrical connections, vacuum connections, and water hoses are disconnected apply an engine lift to the drivers side of the car point across the engine bay. Hook on, and remove drivetrain.

I made it sound simple, it took me 4 hours to do it the first time and I had pulled several FWD drivetrains before.
