Ok guys this isnt my car but looked on you tube for a example here is the link

Important this is not my car but it is doing the same thing with the idle it revs to 2k the no higher. Brand new rebuild timing is correct checked the normal. I also checked the tps unpluged it still wont go above 2 k idles great tho.:banghead:

Also on a fresh rebuild is it normal for a little bit of blow by (oil) in cylinder 1 and 4 again fresh rebuild.

^^ LOL Jus, I noticed that too!


Is the MAF plugged in?? I know my 1g wont rev very high when I have the Maf unplugged.. Check all your connections, and vacuum lines/couplers. Although a boost leak would have a junk idle. At least from my experience.

ANGELOFPASSION- Did you even read what he said in the OP?? ITS NOT HIS CAR! Just one he found on youtube with a similar issue. Except the guys in the video obviously has far more serious issuesl
 
Well i have a gm 3" with maf t when i unplug it it doesnt want to even go to 1500 then spudders out but when i um plugged the maft from the stock mass clip it didn't spudder at all wtill couldnt go above 2k can the tps be completely out if i un plugged it and it did nothing to help then pluged it in and did the same? And ya guys this isnt my car or a buddies ill see if i can post a vid of what my car is doing soon but the vid is exactly what mine is doing as far as the 2k rpm then no further deal. O and the second part i have some oil in my 4th cylinder i have a fresh rebuild 0 road miles i havnt even been able to drive it yet due to the 2k rpm issue.

How do i test the gm mass?

Could my maf t be causing this i have it set to 3" aux is 0 base is 2 the rest is set to 0 could this be why i cant rev past 2k. its maft v 2.01

Ok i think i solved it turns out my 1@4 coil is bad no spark....LOL haven't fixed it yet but will tomorrow and post up a answer to this headache.:banghead:

Its your fuel map! It's got a nasty hole, that's why you're unloading in 3rd! LOL, actually, are you running a wideband or anything? We ran our car without O2 sensors and it got the ECU all discombobulated. Got the sensors in and it seems to have figured itself out (for now)
