Ok, Like stated in my previous posts, I own a 1992 Eclipse N/T with pop-up headlights. and considering my car is from Europe it makes sense till you see it. 90-94 had pop ups here in Europe but the 92-94 had a small slit in front of the pop ups. My car doesn't follow that rule either. My car has the 90-91 pop up style lights. nothing has been replaced, it's never been in an accident, so whats the deal? My VIN is 4mbmnd22ane006482, so it's a d22a model. Any chance this would be a 6 bolt? maybe you can tell by the picture? I don't have the car right now, so I can't check the oil pan right now.

If you want my opinion, measure the crankshaft endplay and go from there. If it is within specifications, don't worry about it. Here's a site that has a lot of information and links to more about crankwalk: 2G Eclipse Crankwalk

I'm sure it has been covered on this site as well.

Anybody here rev match (shift w/o clutch) often or know more about it? I prefer to shift that way when i am driving slow.

i rev match all day just drive slower and shift around 4000 do it slowly but firmly and it should fall into gear as far as down shifting pop it into nuatral tap the throttle keep a little pressure on the gear u wanna go in. it takes practice

Yes, I rev match quite often and I have on a few vehicles now. It does not hurt anything as long as you do it right, because our cars have synchronized gears that makes it possible and not harmful to the drivetrain system.

Don't do it
From experience with other cars it will destroy your tranny

A more appropriate term is powershift becuse rev match is clutch in gas to match rpm and clutch out ( mostly for downshifting to not put strain on drivetrain)

well this is confusing, right when I get the go ahead from a few members, there's Orange2k to make me want to look further into it. @Orange2k, isn't power shifting done in a fast forceful manner for racing and the like?
