Alright ive read similar problems on this site with idle surge but dont know if this is what i have. OKay say i am driving and i come to a redlight the cars rev will drop to like 6-700 hundred and the whole car will start to shake. then it will go back up to like 9 for second then do the same thing. Ive notcied it does it when i hear the radiator fans come on. I just installed my injen intake and taylor wires could this be the problem? ANy help would be great thanks

it drives absolutly fine smooth as can be just at idle i have this problem, my dad said "ahhhh its fine" thinking he knows so much about cars then he goes and put my car in reverse without the clutch, 2 times!!!!! i dont trust him. whats nkg?

Your spark plugs.
They should be NGK BPR6ES.

I would check your ISC. Sounds like it's acting up.

Nope. Switch 'em back to NGK BPR6ES

Idle Speed Controller.
It's what controls how your car idles. If it's bad or dirty it will cause you to have rough idle with idle surge. Try cleaning it first. If that doesn't work then replace it.

There are several possible causes.

Check the throttle cable, mine was sticking sometimes, loosened it and fixed the problem.

ISC (as mentioned above)

ECU

Plugs: don't use the fancy plugs, uuse only the NGK plugs, NGK is the best for a turbo DSM.

just FYI.......normal idle RPM range is 700-800......mines idles betwee 725-750rpm

Alright cool i am going to try that now thanks guys, and about the plugs my car isnt turbo so i dont know if that makes a differnce
