Help. My car is going crazy after dead battery.

I've been doing my swap and it has been down for roughly 2 to 2.5 months. I have had the altenator fuse disconnected but the battery still connected. It was fine and still charged up until probably two weeks ago and the battery finally died on me. I am now starting to hook some stuff back up like my head lights and such and I put the battery back on the charger and put the fuse back in and my aftermarket Viper alarm started going crazy, I could not get the damned thing to stop. After a few minutes I finally got that alarm to clear and I went inside the car and flipped the headlights to see if they would work and of course they wouldn't..

I then hit the brights and my factory alarm started going off and it got stayed on?? Whats the deal?

Sounds like there is a problem in wiring or in your fuses. Have you went through and checked all your relays and fuses? I am not sure how they wired up your viper alarm, but whenever you ran the car with no fuse inline and it still worked somehow, it could have caused something to overheat.

No, everything was peachy before I swapped the turbo and yadda yadda. Then when I was pulling the turbo off I disconnected the altenator fuse to keep it from being fried and then now everything is haywire? The fuse doesn't appear to be blown becuse when I put it back in everything lights back up but the headlights still don't come on and if I hit the brights the factory alarm comes on. Could this just be symptoms of the battery still practically dead or is it something far more serious?

I had the same problem and it was the fuse. On my gsx it was the 100 amp and my head lights wouldn't come on but all my other stuff did! They would come on every great once in awhile but they wouldn't go off so I had to disconnect the battery. I think it's because the power is there but without the fuse to direct the flow of power it only lets random components work. Then the alt slowly went R.I.P.

The Alt. 100 amp fuse or the yellow? I reset my ecu so I'm going to go get some new fuses.

The 100amp the one that is bolted down and it's blue on my car! Also make sure the connectors on the bottom are put on really good because the entire car relys on that fuse!! Mine wasn't on there very good and that could have led to the blowing of the second fuse

well since your battery is disconnected, maybe youre ECU is trying to re-learn everything. i dont know if any of that would help but im tired as hell.
