mustang rims on a dsm?

I've searched the forum and I still have a few questions about rims/tires

Do late model (94-up) stangs share the same 5 lug pattern as DSM's? Anyone ever tried running stang 17 or 18" rims on a 2g? wondering how the offset & width worked out on our cars... I'm also a domestic musclecar enthusiast and I've been wondering how much interchangability there is here...

I think they're different bolt patterns. I believe mustangs are 5x108.

They are the same bolt pattern (5x114.3 / 5x4.5). The offset and the fact that they are either staggered of atleast 9 inches all the way around means that they wouldn't fit well without some fender work. I'd stay away from staggered, as it is hard to get tires at different widths to have almost the exact same rolling diameter. I've also found that most mustang rims are some variant of the cobra style rim, and I just don't think I could drive around with rims on my eclipse that were so blatantly "Mustang-ish".

Edit: You have a GST, so the staggered doesn't mean as much to you as it does to us AWD guys.

We've discussed this before. The offset is typically much lower than a DSM, like around 25-30 mm. They might be good for a race set-up but not too practical for the road.

what about 3000GT N/A rims i know they'll fit and there alot wider too.. i have a fullsize spare (a 3000GT Rim and tire :-x)

Stock 3000GT rims are wide but have +46mm like DSM's. You can fit them but you would need spacers for 235 and wider tires.
