Hey guys,
While driving down the road on Friday my car decided to die on me I shifted into first and then stepped on the gas and seconds later the car died and I had to get it towed home. Now the car will not turn over or even prime for that matter we replaced the fuel pump because the AFPR was showing no pressure but alas that did not fix the problem we tested the fuel pressure relay and it all checked out good I tried to plug my computer into DSMLink and the "Scan failed to find a working Connection" error occurred so we thought it was the ECU but we threw a stock ECU in and the same problem persisted. I have no idea what else could be wrong as I am not a wiz at cars but I tried everything that I could think of and nothing worked. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated as I leave for college in a few weeks and I would love to bring the DSM with me.
Thank You!
Zac

check your fuses, fuel lines, injectors, and fuel filter. If you do not have any fuel pressure, may have a major clog. Check the fuel as well and make sure no one 'hates' you and put something in it to kill the car.

once the fuel system is working correctly, check you are getting a spark by checking your wires for any grounding and, check your coil and related ignition parts.

Lastly, depending on the condition of the engine, check compression and make sure nothing broke or bent on you such as the timing belt skipping a tooth or 2 or more or anything of that nature.

Making sure the mechanics of the car are working before you tackle the computer. Given how your car 'died' could be several things.

The belt and everything will spin but the Fuel pump will not turn on and there is no spark and I cannot connect to DSMLink... I have tried putting a new fuel pump in nothing we tested the MFI and it is in working order, and all of the fuses will be checked here soon.

Yes I am using a 1G CAS and all of this help is very helpful I am compiling a list of everything I need to do and when I get a chance I will be trying all of these. How do I go about testing my CAS? If it is a hard process I have another 1G CAS sitting around that is in good condition that I could throw on if that is easier.

Remove the CAS, Take off the wire plugs,( spark plugs side only), Turn on the switch and spin the CAS, When you spin the CAS, You will be able to see the plug wires to spark, If you don't see spark, then your CAS is fried.
