i recently install my mtx-l wideband to front o2 housing and spliced the brown wire or tap it to 76 or 75 anyway, I'm drilling a hole and put a o2 bung on the down pipe, now my question is where and which wire do i tap in the ecu? i know that the brown wire for narrow and yellow for wide. I dont have the dsmlink yet but I want to set it up the right way already so i can just plug and play once i get the dsmlink. the reason why i'm doing this is because after I tap the brown wire to ecu I'm still getting the code p0135 o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction, so I'm just going to put the stock o2 sensor back and run a wideband.. plss... help...

I believe it's because you need link to be able to turn off the cels for the 02's bro. Just leave the stockers in place till you get link and can do it right. The Mtxl has its own heater and such wired in already so no need for the stock the only wire tapped in to ecu would be for logging narrow or wideband. But with link you can simulate narrowband so only need to tap pin 76, then in link you would tell it what wideband you are using and then turn off 02's with the check box in link.

The CEL can be on with no problems(except when you need to pass emissions)

Install wideband into the stock o2 sensor bung and run the brown wire from the mx-l to pin 76. That'll be for the ecu to run the engine. Then when you have link run the yellow wire to pin 75 to log the wideband.

cool thanks.

when I get the link, the brown wire will still be attach to pin 76 and the yellow to 75 or do i just tap the yellow to 75 and untap the brown wire from 76? and if I untap the brown wire do i solder the ecu wire back with the original wire?

not sure on the pins outs for 2gs but if 76 where your brown wire is now is your front o2, once you get link (my understanding) you can undo the brown and put the yellow in its place and then simulate narrowband with link.
