msd coil pack question?

i am putting my motor back togeather and i need a new coil pack. i was going to put a msd on but i got to thinkin'(bad idea i know). when a car is turbo you have to be careful of detention. would a msd coil be a bad idea????

hey just reread my post sorry about detonation. i know when you go turbo you need to re gap your plugs around .035. so would a hotter spark from the msd coil pack mess that up?? maybe it's a stupid question but i never said i was that bright

the msd coil is a hotter spark so to say, it is a capacitive discharge setup, with a bunch of sparks giving you "more chances" to fire which helps with miss fires, and high compression or turbo applications
