Sorry misread! You can talk to Banishedmunk.. Hes the DSM mechanic here in SD,

but my friend can help you out if you need help with parts or etc... He's good with any type of car.

Well your right smack in the middle of San Diego and LA. Welcome to California. I'm down to wrench and learn.

Welcome to OC...I'm down to hang out and talk/wrench on some dsms. I pretty much spend the weekends working on mine. Thursday night drags at irwindale if you guys ever want to hit it up with me. I'm a little north of you in Huntington Beach. Also, there are some dsm meets up in Norwalk or Riverside, although, I haven't been to one yet...

Honestly best choice for side skirts is to hit the yards and pull them your self or to buy them off the classifieds possibly even MIP ( Miller Imports ) I seen several sideskirts minus the twistys.

Also as he stated, craigslist usually has people parting out time to time.

Also Welcome to San Diego, I'm Arnie and I am still new at dsm's but I learn as I go :D N/T DSM.

alright, ill hit up craigslist when i get there. I should be their next week. leaving the car here in florida untill i get settled and then having it shipped to Cali. probably going to rebuild the engine when i get it there. whos down LOL

outstanding. I'm thinking of dropping in a 6bolt block and use my 7bolt head. but i might just rebuild my 7bolt. I havent really decided yet. what do you guys think ?

Always down to work on a DSM. What's the plan for the car, why the rebuild? If the block is good I see no reason not to rebuild it unless your set on a 6 bolt.

Parts are fairly easy to come by up there for turbo cars, in SD myself I have not been able to find an abundance of them. I seem to be driving an hour + to get stuff but I live way down in National City by the border LOL.

The rebuilt 7 bolt that's in it has low compression 145 150 147 149. I think 133 is the limit. Anyhow it's using a lot of oil and I can't figure out why. I've changed turbos and still nothing ? Thinking the rings are bad . Any ideas. ?

Right around the corner! I rarely see any turbo DSM's round here. My neighbor has a 1g on jack stands (surprising right?) and the only other one I seen recently is a spyder in Ramona.

i live in oceanside if you need anything i bet i could find it in my garage aka dsm graveyard message me and ill shoot you my number

Alright so I got some parts from STM in the mail yesterday. I got a new head gasket, prothane inserts, valve stem seals, gates timing belt and balance shaft belt and some other odds and ends. my car will arrive this Friday.
