moving to mesa arizona

im not new to forum but i am moving. my name is mike. i am moving to the east mesa area. i currently own 4 dsms. a 1992 eclipse, 2 1992 rs turbo fwd lasers and a 1994 laser rs turbo fwd . sadly when i move i will be leaving them behind so i will be looking to start up my collection again with a new group. far far away from new England rot.

You won't have any problem finding dsms here. There's plenty of rust free (although not necessarily clean) 1gs and 2gs. I've got 4 in casa grande (30 mins from mesa)- GVR4, 1g, and 2 2g's. I have quite a few buddies with dsms in the mesa area and all throughout phoenix.

that's awesome to hear. i had this exact post in phoenix area regional forum for 2 days without even a view . yeah ill be looking to get one when i get down there. i hope because there rust free the prices are not to crazy.
ill miss my cars but ill love being able to drive my dsm all year round


i am contemplating shipping my eclipse down there due to it is my first dsm. and i have put a lot of money into it

I rarely check the regional forum as it's generally pretty dead.

DSM's are hit or miss price wise here. Most people still think they're gold and want an arm and a leg (400hp GSX for 18k on craigslist right now), and then there's a few cheap ones non running. Shouldn't be hard to find what you want though. Let me know if you need a hand or anything.

You should be able to find some stuff out there easily. I lived there for 9 years and still visit from time to time. The nice part about Arizona is almost all the DSM's are rust free. As another person mentioned, the DSM's aren't always clean so pay attention. There is a DSM specialist out there that runs a shop called Bond Speedworks. He is a great resource to help find your next DSM or any repairs and builds you may do in the future.

yeah i was surprised with how dead it was.
yeah its pretty hard to find non rusted ones up here. and to have 3 out of 4 non rotted was a pretty big accomplishment for here.
and thanks for the reply's this is the type of info i was hoping for.

ive dealt with almost every thing that you don't want to from timing belt snap and spun main bearings to electric nightmares. so i wont mind to bad if its not running. as long as its semi non molested. i really want to try to get my hands on a awd.
