Mounting External WG To Evo3 Manni

Ok is it fine to just use a wire feed to weld the pipe into the manni? It is cast steel correct? Also where at should i tap into? I was thinking to just use the number 1 runner. And can i just use a hole saw?

It is cast IRON. This welds best with a 99% nickel rod, with a TIG. I have welded cast iron with a mig before but only things that are not as important, like a grider stand I have.

I would not do it on a manifold that will heatup and expand and cool down and contract.

Cast iron is a tricky thing to weld to. I'd really sugguest using the correct rod and preheat the manifold. That is at least what I have always done. Using the wrong filler rod will cause the weld to crack and you will have another problem to weld up.
