Hey guys, i just bought this car and its missing the throttle body, the fuel rail is out and few random extras are off as well. However it is my understanding that with power the motor should turn over even tho it will not start b/c of the before stated reasons. Here is the problem. The motor will not turn. I made sure the starter is grounded and hooked up. i have traced random wires and checked fuses. The car did run before parts were taken off. I dont want to put the money in rebuiling the motor is there is some other problem. Is there someting i am missing? The car is a manual as well. I still need to make sure the clutch pedal is hooked up right but i think that it is. Thank You for your time.

First, take a ratchet with a socket and see if you can turn the motor over by hand at the bottom pulley first before you do anything else. If it turns freely, jump the starter, from the main power cable on the starter to the small wire on the starter to see if the starter will turn. If it sparks and does not turn, the starter is either bad or the gear is stuck in the engaged position with the flywheel. If the starter does turn, you have a wiring problem. Let me know how it goes.
