Motor redlining at 6k?

Hi I have a 95 sixbolt swap tsi mods in profile. My motor doesnt want to go past 6k. Its almost like there is a rpm limiter at 6k. In DSM link i have it set to 9k. I have hks cams. please help me, this car is pointless with a redline at 6k. The CAS was just replaced.... out of time?

Yes possible out of time or fuel pressure too high or boost leak.

You sure you don't just have NLTS set at 6k and the the clutch wire not hooked up?

What is NLTS ? If you mean clutch wire disabled I have the clutch satfey switch unplugged so I can start the car without clutch being pushed in. my fuel psi reads 40. but I have a 6bolt in a 2g. shouldnt it be set at 43.5 I think it is? please help me

Fuel pressure in a 2g should be 43.5psi with the vacuum line unhooked. 6-bolt, 7-bolt, 4g64, etc doesn't matter, it's what the ECU is programmed for.

But I agree, post up a log and we'll be able to spot the issue much easier.
