I have a 1990 eagle talon and i got this car with several spun bearings. I pulled this motor out and rebuilt it completly. I put the motor back in the car and hooked everything up like the Haynes manual tells me too. I go to start this car and it wont start, so immediatly i act like this car is a no start. I checked for spark and fuel to the rail and i have both. From there i checked compression which was good and made wsure the car is in time. Then i decided to try and spray carb cleaner in the manifold to try and start it and the car fires right up. So now i am thinking the car isnt getting fuel so i checked the fuel relay circuit near the ECU and it checks out alright. I have power at my injectors(11.66 volts) and the resistance at each of my injectors is 2.4 to 2.6 which the Haynes manual says is good. The fuel pump pumps fuel all the way to the rail, but the damn car just wont start. I dont know what to do!!!!!!!!! please help if anyone has any advice.

Did you mod any of the fuel lines? The feed line is connected to the passenger side of the rail, and the return line is hooked to the driver (regulator) side, right?

I only ask because I went through the same problem, only to realize I crossed my lines and was trying to run fuel to the wrong side of the rail (through the regulator).:laugh: The reg will block all fuel flow if set up this way.

Any idea what your fuel pressure looks like? After cranking for awhile and pulling a plug, is it wet with gas?

I know the fuel lines are on right but i do not know the pressure is like. I was planning on checking that tomorrow and i can post that when i get it. I have yet to pull the rail off anf see if the injectors will spray, but maybe that is what i need to do. but i do not think that the injectors are spraying since i have fuel at the rail, i think the car would start if the injectors were spraying.

I edited what I said after I realized that was a bad idea. OMG The injectors will pop out of the rail without the manifold under them to support em when fuel pressure is applied. You can depressurize the system, remove an injector, and see if it opens when it's cranked though. Check what I said above regarding pulling a plug, though.

When you open the fuel system up, does it have a lot of pressure (spray fuel out) or just drip fuel out?
