Buddy's car. Have spark, fuel is getting to the rail. Looked at wiring to cam and crank sensor. All looks good. We just swapped the motors from his wrecked 95 GSX to a 97 GST that had a 95-96 motor in it (or at least the cas is in the same position as his 95 motor anyway). Both motors were running before being pulled. Ideas? Is there a way to test a cas on a 95 motor without having to pull it? Don't wanna do tons of work to change it if it's not the problem. It's his only ride so need help fast. Thanks.

Oh yea, we also pulled out the plugs and they look dry, cylinders are dry, tried to turn it over with the fuel line disconnected and fuel did come out so we know it's getting to the rail.

Do the injectors get +12V (maybe less because of the resistor pack) on the red wires, when ignition is on?

If not, check the resistor pack, or the resistor pack connector. Or wiring from injectors to the MPI relais.

Didn't have a multimeter on hand today and problem was just discovered today. Where is the MPI fuse on a 2g? I looked on the fuse box cover and didn't see it listed. Figured maybe it was listed as another name but wasn't sure. Where is the resistor pack? I feel like such a noob having to ask that but I don't normally have these issues to where I even have to worry about it. Lol.

the resistor pack is mounted on the firewall.

Looks like this, this is the mounting position from a 1g. on 2g's its mounted right from the battery, a bit down. behind the throttle body.

I've never even touched one of those. I mean yeah, I've seen them, but never messed with one. So what do they do, what do I check for, and would I still get spark but no injector pulse if something on it goes bad? Can I just unplug one and swap it to try that out or is it part of the harness???

resistor pack is just pack of 4 resistor, each wired in the supply voltage line for each injector.
each resistor (black wire to white wire on the resistor pack) schould be about 12 Ohm.

MPI relais is inside on a 2g. if the ecu gets supply voltage its wokring. or if you hear a clicking noise inside (about 5 seconds) after you turn off the ignition.
