Well, after countless 20psi pulls on 17* timing and the alcohol back to about 70meth 30 water. I wasn't getting ANY knock again, so i started turning the boost up. I got to a 3rd gear 25psi pull and it seemed to start breaking up at around 6500-6800 RPM (right before 7k), i shifted to 4th and it went away. I got it up in that same RPM range in 2nd but it just spun and didn't duplicate. BTW, i was getting about 2-3 degrees pulled at 25psi, but hell it could have been AFR's making it break up, the wideband wasn't able to be seen, and the laptop was at home so there's no log, but the little i did see of AFR i was 12;s then i turned up teh global fuel kob and saw 10's, i kept in it and saw 9.5-7 at times, but i couldn't coordinate RPM with AFR at those speeds, it was on a dark empty stretch of road so i was really sketched when 4th started pulling like it was (the quaife makes a TON of difference) usually i'm not scared in the top of 4th, but mid range was pulling hard and there was a thing i thought was a deer up ahead and i let out at about 5500 in 4th
I'm not sure if it was extreme valve float, failing plug wires, or the meth/water causing this. But i can spin these up past that at less boost, so even though they (stock valve springs) are killing my top end power, they're not complete junk.
I'm running BPR7ES plugs gapped at .025 less than 500 miles on them.
Running an M10 nozzle..
anyone had this issue? I can't push 25psi on pump alone and i don't have any C16 on hand. Plus when i'm at any boost less than 25 i'm fine untill i feel the power fall off fast at 7-7.2k ( i need springs BAD!! ) Or does anyone think that my magnecores have finally pooped out after 6 + years of service?
I have started hearing radio electric field interferance in the car that goes with the RPM in the last few days though too (classic radio noise...you old timers know what i'm talkin about...that whistle)
I will start with wires, but should i skip on those for now and get a ignition box? My J&S can't be used with a CDI ignition, so what would my good choices be? dynapak dynatek (forget the real name, got it in a PM)
