I'm piecing together a longblock so I can throw it in the car and sell it as a turnkey car rather then a shell.. Much easier that way.

Anyways, I'm having some problems. It's a 4g63 2G 7bolt block that I picked up, but it came off of a spyder. Now, I've got the head and block bolted on and assembled and everything else pretty much done. Just finishing up the timing belt and other misc. things.

Power steering bracket.. I'm not finding anywhere to fit the damn thing. The water pipe is right in the way, it's just not making any sense to me. I've gotten so frustrated that I've temporary given up on it. I'm guessing that it's just a different bracket, which doesn't make any sense. Unless the front clip on the Spyders was slightly different and they used a different power steering setup. I'm at the point with this car where I'll sell the stupid thing without power steering if I have to.

Can anyone verify and confirm what could be going on here? Am I just retarded and am forgetting something? Unfortunately I threw away my old block that crankwalked because it was cracked anyways. Also like a moron, I didn't take many pictures either while dis-assembling it. It was pending sale as a rolling shell so I didn't really care either way.

Please help me out here Tuners! :thumb:

If you already have the water pipe on, you can't fit the power steering pump bracket behind it. You have to put the bracket on before the pipe. Unless you've already tried this, then just ignore this haha.

I found a 1G 7bolt extension bracket but it wasn't quite 100%. I'm going to grab pretty much any 4G bracket I can find at the junkyards tomorrow. Anywhere I put the bracket to bolt up just doesn't make sense..

This is the 2g bracket if I'm thinking of the right one:

and you see the 4 holes above the alternator? it goes there, it fits snugly behind the water pipe

This is just bugging me. I swear I never had a bracket, the actual power steering holder just bolted on the block. Idk maybe I'm an idiot and threw away my old bracket or something with the cracked block.

Thanks for the picture reference. I know where it goes but that definitely helps. I guess I'll comb through my garage.
