So i can go tomorrow to pick up my freshly machines block head and crank tomorrow morning.. but now im starting to feel like im done with this project..

Idn what to do, buy a new car? or finish this project up..

Thanks for the "Six Million Dollar Man" throwback 350war. I have learned that projects are not about how much money you spend or it's worth, but the accomplishment you get from finishing and flogging it:) You will have high points and low, but the thought of the smile you get from hearing that motor come to life and being slammed into you seat makes it all worth while!

Dang Turbo Monk3y !!! My Eclipse is running just fine and you just made me want to sell it !!! And I have
all of the above BUT the heat in my garage !!! Plus all the pieces to complete my AWD Spyder conversion.
But you just took all the wind out of my sails !!!!! :)

B

ps: finish it man.

Well then,
you only have to ask yourself a few questions. Did you get this car because you truly wanted to build it? Or did you get it because your friends think its cool and because your in a fad stage? And will you complete your goal because you want to do it yourself?

one. I would love to give the "two word" answer back to turbo monkey :hellyeah: but its a forum and ill keep it censored.

"To Turbo: Im a 18 year old living at my parents house, with a full time job.
I don't have a g/f but you better believe i got plenntttyyyyy of girls, My garage has a kerosene heater ready to roll, I got all the time in the world, I got tons of friends for lifts anywhere in the world i need to go, and lastly, 250 a week extra to spend on the engine.... :thumb: so please never post on my threads EVER again.. "

Im going to continue working on it.. i get about 250 a week to use on the engine from working so money aint the issue.. it just been 4 months and im not very patient. But i feel once i get my engine back tomorrow and start building things should go together. Thanks for the motivation guys!

First off, Please don't ever use the word BRO again, this is not Jersey Shore.
2ndly I will do us both a favor and never post in any new Awesome thread you may start in the near future.....
3rdly I was being realistic and you took it as an insult. I clearly see someone that is irking for attention. Who creates a thread asking for people to give you motivation? Either you want to finish it or you don't. I gave you the truth and you did not like it.

I fortunately enough, have built Four 4g / G4 engines starting from 2000 till present day. Guess what. All of them are still running. I have never blown an engine or spun any bearings on anything I've touched. I built them for myself and sold them to friends when I was done with them. I was giving you a heads up for what happens when someone rushes through things like a few of my friends have.

hey turbo monkey you should do this forum a favor and NEVER POST AGAIN!!! I have a job, I do live in a home LOL, I have a gf, I dont have a garage, I dont have ample amounts of time, I dont have another DD and I dont have extra money and I still rebuilt 22 cars in the last 8 years. And thomas911 his project HAS BEGUN. What part about he just got his block back from the machine shop didnt you get??? It might not be finished YET but HE HAS BEGUN so if you have NOTHING POSITIVE TO ADD then dont waste everyones time by posting rude and ignorant shit like that.

Rude...... Ahhhh maybe........ Ignorant, Hardly.... I've only messed with these cars for over 10 years now... But I'm dumb don't listen to me....

I bought my eclipse 2 and a half years ago when i was 16.. I bought it because i loved the way they looked. I didn't know anything about eclipses or even what a DSM was. But i have learned alot. I ripped it apart because my eclipse was everything to me and i loved her. Most people hated on my eclipse in the first place so obv. it wasn't because people liked it?

I asked for motivation because im at the stage where im about to drop all the money i have on this car and i wanted to make sure this is what i really wanted. And i like hearing people tell me how amazing it feels behind the wheel after finishing the build.

sorry to have takin it as a isult but i thought about everything bad that can happen and all the other stuff that has to go along with the build. I just wanted POSITIVE answers

Well, I aint going all out on this eclipse..
i think im just doing a stock build.. If i like building and it turns out well, ill def do another one.
