I was wondering if any one has tried this? I saw it in a mag. and wondered if it was good?

You have to put a UV resistant film on it to protect it like how they came brand new. When you restore them you clean up the scratches and pitting but you also remove the UV protective layer. Put that layer back on and you wouldn't have to repeat it often.
I was gonna try this out too. But has anyone cleared their headlights? By that I mean just like you do with paint, add a few coats of clear to make it shine. I wonder how that'd work. Sand them down with maybe 1000 grit, and spray them with some clear, real clear. Not rattle can crap.
Both of these are good options. Either a UV film like Lamin X or clear coat shot from a spray gun (not a can).
However, over time these will start to break down, just like the stock coating.
