Hey, anyone else got this on their car? Yo, it's a SOLID upgrade. I port matched my manifold and bolted this thing on fairly quick. Real gains, esp in higher RPMs, it really give it some extra pull up top. MY milage dropped somewhat, but damnit man it's worth it. The throttle is so sensitive right now, I need to go out by some shoes with thinner sols because my thick-ass Lugz arent cutting it right now. Great part! :dsm: :talon: :thumb:

haha you wear lugz!

Yea man....i got the same throttle body i really love it. I haven't got my intake manifold to the same size as the throttle body yet, but it still made a difference. Right now i need to replace my headgasket, so while i have the head off i'm going to get it ported and polished, and get my intake manifold done also. So i'll really get a difference when i get it together. But the throttle body is a great add-on, i would advise it to anyone that hasn't replaced the throttle body yet.

So how much is this TB? and where do I order it?

Also is it something a weekend guy like me can do with simple tools? I'm used to bolt-ons like intakes, and cat-back exhaust. I would have been able to do my headers, but I had to get back to school and need my car on the road quickly.

I'll do a search for the install, but if someone wants to point me in the right direction that would be great? also how long would porting an intake manifold take? how about boring it? Is it worth it with the mods that I have?

Aight I guess from looking at it its pretty easy....The one they are selling on modern preformance is a 60mm, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up going turbo, but not till like next race season, because I need to save up for a short block first. But I wanted to know if the 60mm will be too much for my NT for now, even though I have headers/3in exhaust, and about to get a test pipe?

n/t 1g will never need a upgraded throttle body unless serious mods have been done. liek cams and high compression internals.

we have a 64mm tb that tapers to 60mm.

I got the jeep tb mod and it's pretty good mod so i imagine that buying a not frankenstein tb should be even better.good gains as soon as i ported the intake manifold, real itchy trigger but my lugz got used to it. ;)

That is the best TB on the market for us. Get your intake manifold ported to match the 60mm inlet, otherwise its not as effective.

if you bought the second version there is a 2 stage tensioner on it so you could make the pedal tighter. i hate light pedals.

I was waiting for you to chime in with your nonsense.

Why because I'm willing to point out when your being a jerk about useless things? Yay, you know the difference between a 1st gen TB and a 2nd gen MPX TB. Take your cookie and move on. Your whoring up lawdamans thread being a jerk.

BTW all this crap aside, where did you get your TB? I have a buddy who also has a turbo'ed 420a and this is one of the next mods he is looking to do. How much did you pay and can you recommend any place to get it for a good price?
