Here is wat im going to get and i know that tere are some gaps and thats y u guys are here. LoL I just need 2 know wats missing. thanx

K&N Filter
Big 16g
550cc Injectors
DSM Link
Front Mount Intercooler
Clutch act 2100
Fuel pump 255 LPH
Greddy Type-S BOV
Apex-I N1

P.S. this is a 1998 GSX

Stock fuel pressure regulators don't like walboro fuel pumps. Be sure to get an adjustable one such as aeromotive or fulll throttle speed. That way you'll be able to tune much easier as well as get waaaaaaaaaay better gas mileage.

:talon:

What about 95 e-prom
& cable w/ laptop
for your link,
Pipes for your BOV & IC,
Filter adapter for your K&N,
2g install kit for your 16g,
ummm....

Necessary:

1. Boost Gauge
2.Turbo Timer to save your new turbo
3. Boost controller
4.Plugs and Plug wires, you will need more spark than stock
5. S/S clutch line to go with the ACT Clutch, I would go with the 2600 instead of the 2100, my .02
6. Springs and Struts (better traction for the whole shot  ) F & F quote, sorry I had to.
7. Porting your manifold and O2 housing
8. Regular maintainence, (t-belt) etc.
9. EGT gauge if you want to be extra safe, dsm link can compensate for this, sort of
10. Lots of bloody knuckles.

Thats all I can think of for now. None of this is in any order but I would suggest getting this stuff too if you have the cash.

Good Luck
Ben

Sorry if I repeated anyone.

Also I just noticed that you are from Greenwood. I am in North Vernon if you know where that is. You should check out www.indystars.org, its a local dsm group. Everyone is great over there too, just like here.

the reason for the 2100 is i have heard its less likely to crankwalk. Is that not true?

From what I have read, if its going to walk, then its going to walk. As soon as you start making some good power. But I think the issue of walk is made a bigger issue than it really is. Besides if it goes it just gives you a great reason to drop the dough on a fresh 6 bolt :thumb:

Ask whatever vendor that you purchase it from what they think, but I am pretty sure that they will tell you the same...

Looks like you joined Indystars already. Make sure you introduce yourself to everyone. By the way I am known as bstoner over there.

If you are just starting out on your mods
look up Buschur Racing for their 3 step system
to safely do a build up.And start at square one.

OK, my turn:

To start off, you probably should've described your full intentions besides a potential mod list. Is this a daily driver? Have any goals (hp, 1/4 mile, etc). Also, are you really going to buy all this at once? From what I imagine, this will probably a daily driver type car with goals around 12-13 sec 1/4 mile E.T. range (based on mods you choose). With that in mind, lets help you out with your list:

-K&N Filter-perfect
-Big 16G- if thats what you want then you might as well get the EVOIII 16G (& port it)
-550cc- good for basic 16G street setup but if your looking at DSMLInk you can handle bigger
-DSMLInk- good choice, but if you are on a budget by no means is it the only tuning route..also but don't forget all the other hardware you will need with it (labtop, EPROM, etc.)
-FMIC- good, but if you upgrade all at once, don't go looking for UICP kits b/c those will be routed towards the SMIC
-ACT2100- good street setup clutch, most people will tell you to go with the bigger 2600; if you have a heavy left foot then 2600 will be your best best
-Walbro 255- with a 16G setup you really only need the 190lph...255 usually=new FPR
-Greddy Type-S- good choice (1G BOV will do if on a low-budget)
- Apex'i N1- great quality and sound...only thing people usually have against them is the $500+ price tag

Ok, thats just YOUR list, you'll need also (MBC & downpipe) + plus more I'm just tired of writing now... Good luck :thumb:

Good list but plug wires pffft

oh it means like really unnecessary or not needed there are lots of ppl on stock wires me for one with very fast cars spark plug wires aren't on the performance list. I can see if he was gonna use msd or something.

OK my car is a daily driver and my goal is mid to high 12's. I want as much h/p as i can with a evo III 16g. I just want streetable car that i can roll up to a stoplight with and burns some ppl with.

I think that the main question we all need answered in order to better assist you in choosing your mods is "How much money do you have to through at this project" and "When are you planning on buying this stuff, all at once or a few parts here and there"??

I plan on throwing all the money i need at this car. I should have mentioned that i am going to spend the money on tein suspention with edfc and race light wheels with BFG T/A KDW 2. I plan to do mods in stages. I am going to get the fuel system done first and that will be all at one time.

hmmm....ok, well that whole race suspension idea..not needed but it is your car and your $$...also I would recommend you not do a fuel setup as stage 1...do the basic air/exaust flow + boost mods first

screw that big16g unless your getting it for way cheap, get the evoIII. Also how about some good tranny, x-case, and rear end fluid. How many miles are on the car? Does the TB need changing? Tuning, tuning and more tuning. NGK BPR7ES plugs. What intercooler? You don't want just anything. 2g install kit for the turbo. What kind of catback exhaust are you gonna run? You only have a downpipe listed. A 190 pump should work fine for what you want. Intake pipe? Port that 02 housing or have sombody port it for you, along with the exhaust manifold. Wideband 02 sensor? It will make tuning much eaiser.
