missing when cold

Hey guys I probly know the answer 2 this ? But ill ask anyway but when I start my car it misses until it warms up a lot I am just lost n don't have a lot of time 2 really dig around n look busy a lot @ work so any suggestions would b helpful

I have three guesses:
1) you need to replace your plugs
2) you need to replace your HT leads
3) your base timing is off (should be 5 degrees +-2 BTC at curb idle)
I think #1 is most likely.

Plugs r brand new I will check timing again what iz ht leads? Lil slo 2day very tired sorry

Can you please elaborate more on your problem/situation? Are you saying that the car misfires until fully warmed up? If that is the case, you shouldn't be driving the car hard until it is fully warmed up anyway! Upon initial start-up, the ECU functions in closed-loop mode running slightly richer to quickly and promptly warm things up; the reason being many of the sensors, such as the o2 sensor, require heat to function/cycle properly.

I would also check for vacuum/boost leaks and ohm-test your ignition components [PTU, coilpack, ignition wires, etc] Check your timing too as mentioned above as your valves may not be seated properly. Good luck!

HT stands for High Tension (as in high voltage), but what I mean is your spark plug leads! Guess I shouldn't use that term, too many people aren't familiar with it !

Thanks guys ill check everything ordering new wires also gunna check 4 boost leaks. Been out of the game 4 a long time well over 5yrs so I 4got a lot. I also get a shudder now to in fifth when try 2 matt it?! Trin 2 get ready to race next month
