OK this is getting to me. I need some idea’s as in the Chilton manual is stupido .

I am having a bad missfire at ideal. I just changed the spark plugs to NGK 7's (was 6's) gaped at 44.
When I took the other ones out I noticed arcing from Cyl #1 and #2 on the spark plug and tub walls. I scrubbed that down good.

Just put in new Bosch plug wires.

I tested the Secondary resistance of the coils @ 14.3ohms (don’t know spec’s or how to test Primary yet, it is dark what can I say?)

Any more ideas?

I could have swarn that too, but not according to the parts store...

Let me go grab my book.
damn i lazzy,

This thing is lopping like a v8, or some beffy cam's.

It is a regular ideal but with the miss. It sounds like a deep blop blop blop...... Constant.

I did a compression test. And watch and recorded the first pump.
All first pump was about the same, a little over 100 psi.

@ normal operating temperature, the following results are;

#1 cyl 164
#2 cyl 164
#3 cyl 168
#4 cyl 167

ALSO!
The primary coil results are both 1.2 ohms

This is also a California car, i Think because the 3 solenoids on the firewall.
I do not know what the different is for operation, if anyone can help me out by telling me where to find this information on diagnostics.

I think that it could have a problem with
MAF
Boost leak
ISC (but will that couse a missfire like this? could it be a really fast ideal surg? )

Also the guy I bought it from said he replaced the ISC (as he was pointing to the TPS) with one from a 2g... Yes it was the TPS off a 2g TB. Now the old one looks the same as the 2g, is that right? and could this cause a missfire like this???

Coil Primary resistance: .77-.95 Ohm
Secondary: 10.3-13.9kOhm (with coil disconnected)

spark plug wires:

No. 1: 5.8kOhm
No. 2: 8.4k
3: 10.6k
4: 9.7k

If you doubt your ISC, you could simply disconnect the idle switch and it will go out of "closed loop" idle control strategy.

You could double check your base ignition timing (w/ timing adjust connector grounded) and base idle (timing adjust connector and ECU diagnostic pin grounded) just for kicks too.

Good luck.
