metal retaining clips on shift cable (where to buy?)

I lost two of the U shaped metal retaining clips that hold the shifter cables in place. Are these things universal for all cars or would it be a 1g dsm specific part? I can hit up a junk yards tomorrow, but autozone would be way easier if they had them. Thanks

Are you talking about the cotter pins? If so you can get any cotter pin that fits and bend it into place.

He means the spring steel retainer clips. Depending on the size, they're common. Used for door locks and the like. I don't know if the shifter uses any oddball size, or a standard. Check at NAPA and AutoZone.
