I found a guy selling his ms v2.2 for a killer price but is v3 that much better then v2.2? He bought it back in 2009 and never used it but it's been sitting in his house. The pictures I seen of it looked clean and in good shape. Would I still get everything I need to tune my car? I'll be going turbo soon. And I know there is alot of threads but it would be nice to get feedback from others that have used both versions. Thanks

V3.0 MS2 is good but if you can get it get the full MS3 v3.57 with the daughter board

Version 2.2 board with ms2 daughterboard, assembled for the 420a, with bare aluminum case. Comes with 8' wiring harness from DIYAutoTune(not pictured), DB9 serial tuning cable, and homemade injector harness with 4 Bosch EV1 pigtails and 6-pin WeatherPack connection.#

^this is what the guy is selling and he's offering 225 for it. Never used, I just don't know if I should get that or keep saving for ms3.

save for MS3. I think ill upgrade my ms2. Which has never been installed either just sitting around. If I hadnt jumped the gun I would have purchased the full MS3

Its not terribly too hard. the more you read the more you can get familiar with the system and what to do and what not to do

I guess I was trying to say is with the v2.2 would I be able to benefit enough from it and get a good tune rather then v3? I'll be running a 20g on 10.5 compression running pump gas with a target 14-18psi. That's what I would like to do anyway.

So leave 2g ecm for everything else and MS for ign and fuel? I know lsx guys rub that way so they can keep all the creature comforts and have full tuning ability. Would it be easier to swap a 2g turbo ecm and harness in? I always worried about the reliability of MS I have ms3 that I'm going to run on my turbo Ls motor I plan on swapping in my Chevelle but always worried about a daily driver and not having parts relatively close by
