Grrrrr… on this Newbie stuff. Guys taking about this in the 4G63 Tuning and Engine Mgt form and all I can do is smile and wave:rolleyes:

Does anyone have MegaSquirt fuel and ignition maps for a DSM (.vex format)?

I am thinking of going with MSI v3.0 and using the MegasquirtnSpark-extra Firmware, since used 95 EPROM ECU’s and DSMLinks are hard to come by. Stock or modified maps are welcomed. I have the MSI v3.0 on my 91 Miata and love it. When tuning my Miata I started with fuel and ign maps from DIYAutoTune.com which greatly eased tuning. Yet I can’t find any on the web.

DIYAutoTune kits are very nice, I would highly recommended them...good customer service too:thumb: I assembled one of his kits for my Miata, and followed his directions to control the stock igniters. Works well! Everything in the kit was very well labeled and organized.

Still looking for some DSM fuel and/or ignition maps.

well for ignition maps why not use the stock timing table to start with and adjust from there? I know the stock timing table only goes to like 10 psi but after you get the car running( and it should with stock timing maps) you can adjust away!

Although I don't have a MS just yet I helped my friend setup his nissan 240 (which has MS) with the ka24de motor which was N/A and all I did was copy the stock timing map over the with exception of pulling out 1 degree of timing per pound of boost in each load range that the car was in boost and smoothen the curve(he was running 7 psi so total timing pulled was 7degrees)

as for fuel well I don't know about that because the all stock maps in our cars are afr type fuel tables and MS uses VE tables. I might be able to come up with a stock map by taking the dsmap progams base maps hard VE table(mapXrpm) and zeroing out the soft VE table(basicly a boost comp) I can try but I am not sure if dsmaps ve values would equate to MS ve values

the stock maps can be found at the yahoo dsmecu group. or alternatively you download tunerpro from here http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/ and then visit this page http://www.labattz.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11843&highlight=tunerpro scroll down and it will tell you all about ecu files and definition files. from there open up the tunerpro, open the bin and xdf files. and there ya go you can then look at the stock maps for timing, the fuel map is just that a fuel map NOT a ve table so that can't be transferred to MS.
