Ok so I finally got my megan 3'' dp on my car and ther is a 8-9 inch gap between my dp flange and my apexi n1 exh flange? The dp I got was suposed to delete the cat and I kinda figuire I need a test pipe or something to fill that gap??:hmm: Whats a good test pipe if thats what I need? And has anyone came into this problem before? Thanks fellas

I dont wanna do nothing like that. I want bolt on shiny-ness:D And direct fit.

I was looking at the Megan Racing test pip but it looks way to long and it looks as if its a 3 bolt flange?? Is this what I need??

I have a megan racing test pipe that has been sitting in a box in my garage for the better part of the past three years...Ive never once used it, or, even bolted it up for that matter! If your interested, PM me.. Also, it is a 2 bolt flange on both sides!

Ya it is actually shorter and the flange is slightly cocked compared to the n1. I took my exhaust to a shop and they just extended the downpipe and added a wide band bung for 35 bucks... If u need more info i did this same thing. I can take pics if you want

Well time to update you guys as to my down pipe being to short. I took it to a stainless steel distributor and matched the size of the piping with some polished piping, and they hooked me up with a 3''O.D X 6'' section for $10 bucks. I have a friend who is an old school hot rod builder and is working on a restore of a 32 ford roadster. And is a big fan of TIG welding, anyway here are some pics

2 3/4 section added to the down pipe

I ended up grinding down the welds to make it look that much un-noticable, and like one peice. My friend actually let me TIG weld the section up. It was my first time tig welding but I think it wasn't a too bad a job. Let me tell you this, it was so cool tig welding and I am going to try and find a tig welder so I can make it an every project thing. Maybe? I now have the down pipe on the car and the sound is greatly noticeable, not ricey in any way. More of a deep grunt sound, and its pretty quiet when you need it to be. I can tell that the turbo spools faster and actualy makes the whining of the turbo more noticable too. Ill post a sound clip soon.
