MC symbol on wheels???

I have searched the internet; asked everyone who is into cars; looked through books........... Does anyone know what the "MC"-looking symbol is on wheels? I have seen this thing thing on a very wide aray of wheels from factory-stock to aftermarket. Is it a company that produces the wheel or is it a safety standard mark? Maybe someone out there can tell me. And if you don't know what im talking about go look on a few cars, you are bound to see it.

MC usually means a sport utility vehicle as far as vehicle class designations.....
