MBC question

first off sorry for posting in the newbie forum, when this should obviously be unter the turbo section but it wouldnt let me post there. I recently bought a mbc off of ebay here is the link eBay Motors: RED Turbo Boost Controller ECLIPSE GST/GSX TALON GALANT (item 110304165817 end time Oct-31-08 15:30:19 PDT) i tried mulitple ways of hooking it up but couldnt every get it to work. if you look at the picture youll see it came with a tee with some sort of restrictor in it. well i it came too it and i tried this. i hooked the tee up with the arrow side vacum tube going to my wastegate and the other side going to the turbo j pipe and the one coming out off the top to my air intake.. this completely eliminating the actually boost controller and only using the tee. some how this is keeping me at 14psi from my stock 9psi. has anyone ever heard of this? does this sound safe enough to just keep it like this? my car is stock besides the maf honeycomb and silencer have been removed, 14psi shouldnt be harmful to my engine correct? sorry about the long post just wanted to make sure i got everything. thanks

yes i would like for it to work so i would be able to adjust it but, i have tired every which way to hook it up.. like the link that was a couple post above this one which even with the controller turned all the way would only give me 12 psi. then i tried hooking it up like the guy on ebay said and it had no control what so ever it went to 20 psi with the boost setting at the lowest setting. i completely understand the consept which really makes me wonder why i can get this too work. maybe just a cheapo mbc?? should i try the ball and spring kind? thanks for the help and suggestions.

I have about the same mbc and mine is hooked up like yours, except I have the top line going to the bottom outlet of the mbc, the a line running from the top line to the air filter. Mine stops me at about 5 psi, which is expected since I have it turned all the way down just about.
