MBC problem

OK, I read a bunch of other threads with boost/MBC problems, but none sounded quite like mine. I've got the MBC that came with my car. Looks cheap, but I figured I'd try it out before replacing it. It is connected to the wastegate and the compressor of my t25. I was running 12+ psi on the stock setup, but with the MBC I'm either running 9-10psi, or unrestricted boost. Ig I have the MBC turned all the way to the lowest setting, I get full boost, but it seems that in any other setting I only get 10psi. I've done all my pulls in 3rd. Is the MBC just sunk? I am sure it could be, but I don't want to jump ahead without conferring...

I think that you just need a new MBC, I purchased one from ebay the pos broke when I was trying to adjust it for the first time, So I picked up a Joe P and havent had a problem.

yes just buy a good brand mbc and you will never have probs with that piece anymore. All people i've saw buying some cheap mbc always ended with the fact that it does not work correctly

I have the ebay 1 piece MBC, and it works great. Ive had it on my 1g ever since I got it 2 or 3 years ago. steady boosting @ 14 15 psi.

What kind on MBC do you have? post a pic.

before you junk it,put a thin layer of teflon tape on the threads of the screw. and while your at it pull the spring a make sure its not broke or even in it.

here's a good set up the hallman you can go eather incab or under the hood. If your looking for a red one thats under the hood a Pro Kit I got a new one I'll sell you for cheap.
