okay... yes, i searched and read the previous posts on MBC/BOV hookups, etc. and my problem(s) are somewhat different especially the bit about my MBC falling apart - that's why i made this a topic.
CAR: 1G talon tsi FWD (mods in vehicle profile)
HOOKUP: Qboost MBC - the "opposite-of-knob" nipple directly connected to the wastegate actuator (the lines running to the compressor (turbo) outlet pipe and to the BCS - connected by a T - have been removed), the other nipple perpendicular to the adjustment knob is connected to a T connecter 4-5 inches away from the BOV line leading to the intake mani...
QUESTIONS:1. is my setup correct?
2. do i remove the line leading from the bottom portion of the MAS to the BCS and leave the BCS plugged in?
3. do i cap the end of the compressor (turbo) outlet pipe which was once connected to a hose that was connected to the T that led to the wastegate actuator and the BCS?
4. my MBC accidently fell apart once, and the two ball bearings and spring fell out... where should the two ball bearings go - in relation to the MBC? i know that one should rest on the top directly below the adjustment knob... but does the other ball bearing go at the opposite side of the ball bearing resting on the spring (on top of the "opposite of knob" nipple opening that leads to the wastegate actuator), or at the opening of the other nipple that leads to the intake line?
5. also, for tuning, do i start with the turn knob so that it seems to almost come out of the MBC body and slowly screw it into the body of the MBC?
yes i read the post by defiant on proper MBC install, but i read this -http://members.shaw.ca/dsm.1000q/Engineprimer/1G/compoutletpipe.htm as well as the Dejon MBC install pdf and it confused me since it stated two different things (or so i thought) i just want to make sure i'm doing the right thing since i tried what he suggested and i was boosting 20+psi. maybe im running on only 3 cylinders today... who knows...
thanks to everyone in advance, i tried to be as descriptive as possible.
