Calgary,
I was curious to know if anybody knows what the max boost is before it would be to much on stock fuel trim with a evo 3 16g turbo. I know it is around 15psi on the t-25 but because of the cfm difference I'm not sure. Thanks.

I wouldnt try to run anymore than that 15 psi until you atleast do a fuel pump upgrade.

Yeah 23 sounds a little high with a stock SMIC.

I'm running bigger injectors, fuel pump, HRC FMIC, and a Big 16 set @ 22psi. I would say that's probably gettting close to the end of the efficiency range for a 16g on pump gas.

A little? I have all supporting mods and couldn't get above 19psi on the stock sidemount. He must have a constant spray of liquid nitrogen on his IC all the time. Either that or he lives at the South Pole.

with a front mount and larger injectors/afc combo, 25psi has been seen, shit you can throw 28 at it but not for long.

yeah with a pump and 550's with my 16g i run 24-25psi with a stock smic all day long. well with stronger pistons too. i didnt say it was good, but i get away with it .. :talon:

hmm... i have stock smic and supporting mods but my b16g holds 20psi pretty good. (pump)

Do you guys actually do any time of logging when running 20-23psi through a stock sidemount intercooler? Mine would heatsoak after about 10 seconds of 17-18psi. I would bet your cars are pulling timing like no other and would run faster at a lower boost level.

maybe hes right guys .. should prolly do something about that .. i would but i wasted to much money on paying dean mason to screw up my trans. intercoolers are so much money :thumbdown but i guess it needs to be done

Exactly

At 19 mine was, so I dropped it back to 17 and now that the weather is cooler - the car runs much smoother, no more timing dips and it feels just as fast as the 19 setting on its best runs.

i have AFCII and logger and dont pull much timing at all at 20lbs. i raced last saturday and everything was fine. though the temp was around low 40* and i never hold 20psi for longer than 10 seconds.

i concur with this guy.

i run 21 w/o any problems
That's just it-- you don't KNOW if you're having any problems or not since, according to your profile, you have no logging or fuel management tools. It may *feel* fine, but you may still be getting some timing pulled because of knock.
