what is the max boost that a 4g63t can be built up to with out a rebuild motor

what turbo? how many miles on engine? dont ask vague questions....

my bf's 95 talon awd max boost was 20-21lbs that was with a stock turbo, stock engine, home made manual boost controller, 3" exhaust, upper intercooler pipe, turbo xs rfl, just the basic bolt ons, then he added the Apexi fuel management, evoIII 16g turbo kit ported with external wastegate, dump tube, bigger injectors, fuel pump and some other stuff, he was pushing 25lbs then started to break things

I'm not insinuating that it can't happen or that it's weird for a chick to bust out a list like that and sound like they know what they're talking about. I'm just saying that it's pretty cool, makes me feel kinda funny OMG

He ran 20 lbs of boost on the stock T-25 turbo. I bet that bi*** was glowing under the hood more than once. Isn't that max on those 15psi.

are u telling me ur bf ran 21 psi on a stock side mount intercooler and no upgrade fuel system? are u kidding me?

Well im sure it only ran 20psi until about 5-5.5k then it bled down to 12ish, i ran 18-19psi on my t25 2g but it only holds till 5.5k.

I ran 26psi on my stock 1g engine with my 20g, i had stock headgasket and headstuds too.

you can TRY and run all the psi you want on a T-25 but anything over 15 doesn't help you performance wise cause the turbo can't spin any faster, it just burns itself out.

I ran my stock T25 turbo on 16 lbs of boost and after a while it blew on me. I had 550cc inj, 255 pump, aem fuel rail, fuel pressure reg, and apexi safcII at the time and the turbo still blew on me. So running stock turbo on 20lbs is stupid. Now i have EvoIII turbo running 20lbs.

he had put in a new fuel pump, and yes he had a stock side mount intercooler. ordered a front mount kit but before it arrived some guys in a turbo diesel truck one night ran him off the road and completely totaled the car, nothing salvagable but the fuel management sys, turbo timer, cd player, injectors, and fuel pump. that's the reason why it's been a while since i came back on here. but he's doing fine now, we lost him for 1min 57sec. all is good and the insurence is taking care of everything.

i am now in the process of building my talon.

damn sucks to almost lose an fellow DSMer. hope all is well rally chick, and good luck with your talon.
