I'm in the process of obtaining a 91 gst with evo16g. Is this front wheel drive going to become a problem if I want to make big horsepower numbers as well as keep it my daily driver. What are the biggest horsepower #'s people have been making on these turbos and will I still be able to maintain control on the street? THanks guys, sorry about my idiot questions :)

Here in Colorado people are seeing around 320whp uncorrected at around 25psi. You will be having traction problems. Remember that the horsepower number is uncorrected so it is the horsepower you have at a mile above sea level not a calculation of what you would have at sea level.

You need to do some research yourself. 400whp has been done on the evo 16g but that with a stroker motor. And what is streetable is your defination of streetable. Spool up is not an issue, my 16g did just find in CO. And if you can not floor it all the time traction is not an issue. The evo 16g is a perfect for a street car, and its capable of doing 350whp with some work. Im about 12awhp short of that on my smal 16g closer to sea level though.

Do some searchs its all there.

Low-Mid 300's is typical, higher numbers with more heavily modified engines. Invest in some nice tires/drag radials and you should be fine. 1st will be useless, but with good tires you should be able to get decent traction in 2nd if you don't slam into 2nd...
