that'll happen. i find it funny how many people think drifting is the same as going into corner, slamming hand brake, and spinning around. then i go by, drifting perfectly, sideways, and countersteering pimp like. kids these days.

yes, drifting in a fwd, you don't need to be rear or all. we had quite a lengthy discussion on this on dsmtalk once, it turned out that fwd can drift.
basically go into the corner, down shift so that front tires slow vehicle down without locking, apply a little gass turning into corner early, let off gas, slide throughcorner using gas when needed to pull out of the drift.
then theres the handbrake method everybody knows.
braking drift is easy, decellerate into corner, apply brakes so that rear locks slightly, control with gas.
it is possible, yet hard to control but you can feint. hug inside toward corner, cut to outside and at max g forces cut into corner, whips back end out trhough corner, control with gas.

oh yea, and i've done all of these in my POS winter beater.
