Hey guys,

I am changing my cv half-shaft on the passenger side. I noticed some sort of grease that was pond color green around the boot and splashed around under the car. When the axle popped out the transmission fluid came out the same color with some motor oil brown and a hint of red. It smells like tranny fluid but has the consistency of fondue. The previous owner told me he mixed Red line MT90 and other fluids he cannot remember. This same liquid leaked out of the shift-shaft seal. My trans seemed to work well unless it was making the chattering noise and not the rear-end.

What do you guys think?
